Looking to save money on a computer?

Times are tough and people are looking to save money where they can. If you are looking for a second or additional computer, but don’t want to spend a lot of money, check out used or refurbished computers. Some local stores carry refurbished computers with 90-day warranty that are quite inexpensive. One can easily get 2 or more years out of them, as long as one does not expect to use them for heavy-duty tasks like video editing.

We have some machines that we took in trade and have refurbished them. There are some extra bells and whistles with some of them. Buying from us means we can customize it and provide guidance to you for selecting a new or refurbished computer. Here is part of our current selection of refurbished PCs. The pricing is for "as-is" with no services, just like you would get if you bought it at a store.

Saying goodbye and good luck to Mary

Many of you have dealt with Mary Aruffo in our office over the last 7+ years. She has been our part-time office manager cum book-keeper. She has been instrumental in making Biz Tech and Home PC Helpers operate like real business- handling and managing the office activities. It would be a stretch to say that she was like our Mary Poppins, but some of us techies or nerds can always use someone who is well organized.

Well, Mary has decided to accept a full-time position at the Financial Aid office at Widener University. Even though she made it known this past summer that she was looking for full-time work with benefits, we find we are not prepared to have her leave- 2 weeks is too short! We were fortunate to have her for so long as she wanted to work flexible part-time schedule while the kids were growing up, and that just worked for us too.

We here will of course miss her tremendously, and I am sure some of you, our regular customers, will miss her too. Many of you have had good things to say about their interaction with her over the years. She leaves behind some hard-to-fill shoes.

So with heavy hearts, we bid fond farewell and good luck to Mary in her new career with Widener. I am sure she will enjoy being there and find it fulfilling in many ways. Her last day will be December 4th.

Looking for Help

Well you knew what is coming… If you know of someone who is looking for part-time office type work that offers flexibility of hours, we are looking. The person we hope to hire will have a pleasant personality, be able to communicate well, have a college degree, good computer skills, particularly Quickbooks, and be well organized. The person will work out of our Newtown Square office, which is close to shopping including the famous Gentiles produce place. Think of the time and money they will save.

If you know anyone who is interested, have them contact me at shri@bthelpers.com.

Sincerely,
--Shri
